BOARDING INFORMATION
Where will my pet stay? Dog Boarding Area We have large indoor runs for dogs. Your dog will go on at least three walks a day and be able to play in our fenced-in court yard with our Pet Care Staff.
Cat Boarding Area Cats stay in our spacious 'kitty condos'. Your cat will stay secluded from dogs. Under supervision of our Pet Care Staff, your cat will have individual play and exercise time in the kennel.
When can I drop off and pick up my pet? We ask that you drop off and pick up your pet during our regular business hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.
Can my pets be boarded together? If you have small dogs or cats we can board them in a large kennel together.
What should I bring? We provide Hill's Science Diet food, treats, fresh water, and sheepskin bedding. If you have any special toys, food, bedding or kennel your pet would like from home, you are welcome to bring these items. If we are boarding your pet other than a dog or cat, please bring their own special food, cage and bedding. How do I make a reservation? We do have limited boarding space. It is advisable to make a reservation in advance, especially during a holiday. You may call (503) 630-3538 or click here to reserve a space online.
What if my pet has special needs? If your pet has special needs or medications, our trained staff will be happy to give your pet the extra care it requires. Many clients board with us because their pet has special needs.
What do you require before boarding my pet? We pride ourselves on maintaining a safe and healthy environment for your pets while they are staying with us. This is the reason we require vaccinations and topical flea medication for our boarders. It is best that vaccinations have been done at least a few weeks prior to boarding to ensure your pet is protected. Required vaccines for dogs include Rabies, DHP, Parvo, Leptospirosis and Bordetella (kennel cough). Required vaccines for cats include Rabies and FVRCP (upper respiratory virus). In order to keep our friends 'flea free', we request that effective flea preventive (ie. Comfortis, Trifexis, Advantage, Frontline) has been applied within the last month. We can apply topical or administer oral flea control prior to admitting your pet. If your pet has received preventive care elsewhere, please bring in vaccination records or receipts for proof of care.
Can my pet get medical care, surgery, or grooming while it is being boarded at the hospital? Yes. This is often a good opportunity to get your pet caught up on its' health care needs. Your pet can be spayed, neutered, or have its' teeth cleaned. Exams and preventive care can be performed by your pet's doctor. We can schedule a grooming just before you pick up your pet. Upon admission, we will review your pet's health care recommendations and can prepare a cost estimate for the treatment plan.
What if my pet has any medical problems while I am away? Upon admission we ask for a contact number where you can be reached. We will contact you with any concerns we may have with your pet and get your consent for treatment. If it is an emergency and we are unable to contact you, we will proceed with reasonable care to stabilize your pet until you can be reached.
